He was born on July 15th 1940 in Glens Falls, N.Y., he was the son of the late Harry O. and Buelah (Galusha) Bennett.
After graduating from Queensbury High School in 1960, Dan enlisted in the United States Air Force.
He proudly served his country until 1964, when he was honorably discharged.
In 1967, he married Jean M. Bolster at the West Glens Falls Community Chapel in West Glens Falls, New York.
Dan worked for many years at General Electric Co. in Hudson Falls, N.Y. and then transferred to Fort Edward, N.Y.
When Dan had time off, he loved to relax by hunting, fishing and camping.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by one sister; Donna Wall.
Arrangements by the Carleton Funeral Home Inc. on 68 Main Street in Hudson Falls, N.Y.
Burial will be at 2 p.m. on Monday, January 8th 2018 at the Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery in Stillwater, N.Y.
