WILMA FAY GEORGE
December 29, 1942 ~ December 24, 2017
Funeral services for Wilma Fay George will be held Tuesday, January 2, 2018 at 2:00 PM at the Parks Brothers Funeral Home Chapel in Okemah. Interment will follow at the Schoolton Cemetery.
Wilma Fay George was born December 29, 1942 to George Franklin Alley and Hazel Alaska (Lynch) Alley. She passed away Sunday, December 24, 2017 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma at the age of 74.
Mrs. George was a resident of the Okemah area most all of her life and was a 1961 graduate of Okemah High School. She and Olin George were married September 8, 1962 in Okemah. Mrs. George worked at Dean’s Manufacturing in Okemah and was also, along with her husband, the owner and operator of the Okemah Laundromat.
She is preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Dorothy Rutland and Loree Tallant and a niece, Julie Durrett.
Survivors include her husband, Olin George of the home; her son, Kenneth George and wife Lorie of Arcadia, Oklahoma; daughter, Velma George and partner Jennifer Patterson of Edmond, Oklahoma; two sisters, Wanda Witty and husband Harold of Oakwood, Oklahoma and Georgia Hinkle and husband Leroy of Castle, Oklahoma; three grandchildren, Dakota George, Morgan George and Jaeden George Patterson and one great-grandson, Gavin Norton.
Serving as active pallbearers will be Haskell George, John Strianese, Dakota George, Dewey Tallant, Morgan George and Tammie Swake.
Honorary bearers include Larry Hollis, Cheryl Witty, Teresa Zins, John Bishop and Jennifer Patterson.
Services will be under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Home, Okemah, Oklahoma and officiated by Allen Ray Henshaw.

When some one we love so very much is taken from us we have such a sad heavy heart.
That is when we must be thankful for the time God blessed us to have Wilma.
I am sure God has her a beautiful mansion up there.
Where she will be waiting with her arms open wide to welcome each of you home.
"Wilma loved her family more than her own life,"you were her life!"
"Wilma was an Awesome,Wife,Mother,Grandmother and Great-grandmother!"
"Olen always remember what a blessing you and Wilma were to each other for fifty five years "You Were Soulmates!"
"And how much better you made her life until God took her home!"
Wilma was Gods angel on earth she brightened everyone`s "life she touched!"
"She brightened the world where ever she was!"
