RINGGOLD — Ruth Imogene Petty, 87, of Ringgold, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 19, 2017.
A native of Soddy Daisy, Tenn., she had lived in the Ringgold area for the past 45 years and was formerly of Chattanooga. She was a member of Welcome Hill Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Doyle Petty; parents, William Ross and Martha Sleety Morgan Petty; two sisters, Mary Ann Petty and Novella Moore; and six brothers, Orville, Claude, Ralph, Paul, Cecil and Wallace Petty.
She is survived by two daughters, Karen (Bill) Kapherr of Rossville, and Vicki (Daryl) McCurry of Chattanooga; two grandchildren; two great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be held noon Thursday at Gordy Cemetery with the Rev. Herman Kapherr officiating.
