Funeral Services for Mr. John Ansel Creel will be held at 2 P.M. on Saturday, December 30, 2017 at Hartman-Hughes Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Noble Cemetery in Pine, Louisiana.

Mr. Creel, 92, a resident of Tylertown, Mississippi, passed away at Forrest General Hospital in Hattiesburg, Mississippi on Thursday, December 28, 2017. He was born December 22, 1925 in Tylertown, Mississippi to the late John Jesse and Alma Holmes Creel.

In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his wives Vera Squatrito Creel, Rose Rogers Creel, and Ruby Magee Creel; brothers Brandon Creel, Alverice Creel, Clinton Creel, and Isaac Ingram; and sisters Dixie Creel Stafford and Laura Jane Ingram.

He was a member of Calvary Temple Pentecostal Church and had served in the U. S. Navy during World War II. He had been an oilfield work, and a driver for Petrolane Propane. He enjoyed fishing and gardening.

Survivors include his wife of 17 years Pollie Jean O’Bryant Creel; daughter Susan Kaye Creel; grandchildren Evan Creel and Madison Buse; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Everett Stafford, John Stafford, Bobby Smith, Joseph Smith, Britt Miley, and Country Tynes.

Visitation will be at Hartman-Hughes Funeral Home on Saturday, December 30, 2017 from 10:00 A.M. until service time there at 2:00 P.M.
