Funeral services for Rev. Frank Dale (Butch) Johnson, 77, of Coushatta, LA, will be held on Sunday, December 31, 2017 at 2:00 PM at Martin United Pentecostal Church with Rev. Dean Sales and Bro. Nick Williamson officiating. Burial will follow in the Thomas Wren Cemetery, Martin, LA. Visitation will begin on Saturday, December 30, 2017, at 5:00 PM at Warren Meadows Funeral Home, Many, LA.

Rev. Frank Dale (Butch) Johnson was born on Thursday, January 11, 1940 in Many, LA. He passed away on Thursday, December 28, 2017 in Coushatta, LA. Butch was a Pentecostal preacher for over fifty years. Some of the things he enjoyed was playing Santa Claus during the season, jail ministry, and talking to everyone he ran in to. He was preceded in death by his mother, Essie Mae (Nett) Johnson; father, James Daniel Johnson; brothers and sisters: Myrtle Woods, Mavis Jones, J. D. Johnson, Juanita Pine, Walter Johnson, W. H. Johnson and Luther Johnson.

He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Maxine Walker Johnson of Coushatta, LA; daughters: Rebekah Johnson of Shreveport, LA and Sarah Joslin of Martin, LA; brother, Bob Johnson and wife Nancy of Bossier City, LA; grandchildren: Katie Layfield, Madison Layfield, Emma Martin, Naomi Joslin and Nathan Joslin; along with a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

Pallbearers: Huey Wilson, Roger Layfield, Norman Coolman, Tommy Martin, Joey Emerson and Nick Williamson.
