Finally after years I have found my dad's
mother. She appears to have had a difficult life. She ended up in an orphanage after the death of her mother. Upon turning 18 she married my dads father John Henry Arensberg Sr. My father and his brother Billy were born to John and Anna. The marriage ended in divorce and according to my dad his father was not a good husband or father. Anna remarried and according to dad her husband was good to the boys. His name was Willis Umble. Anna and willis had two children the first was a still born death. The 2nd a daughter was also stillborn and Anna died then also. My dad and Billy went into an orphanage.
It took years for me to sort out their story and I am glad I pursued it.
