Hazel W. Hicks, age 82 of Oak Hill, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, December 28, 2017. She was born on July 30, 1935 to the late Curtis Caudill and Hulda Smith Caudill in Scioto County, Ohio.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Russell Sherman; second husband, William Hicks Jr. and sister Elsie Hughes.

Hazel is survived by her son, Danny (Debbie) Sherman; daughters: Wynona (Terry) Christian, Connie Crabtree, Pam (Richard) Snyder; sister, Juanita Toland; nine grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.

Hazel was a member of the Bethesda Freewill Baptist Church. She enjoyed cooking, yard sales, flea markets and especially enjoyed helping others.

Friends will be received at the Mayhew-Brown Funeral Home on Saturday December 30th from 2-5 p.m. Funeral service will be held on Sunday December 31st at 1 p.m. with Pastor Danny King officiating. Burial to follow at Horeb Cemetery.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Mayhew-Brown Funeral Home in Jackson.
