Lisa Marie Tattershall was born on December 14th, 1956 in Independence, Missouri. She was the third child born to William Ellsworth Tattershall and Bonnielou (Elkins) Tattershall joining her older siblings Terri Lynn and William Jr. “Sonny”. Lisa was the baby of the family until age 13 when baby sister Julie Dawn Renee completed the family. Lisa attended Eldon High graduating in 1975.

In the late 1960’s and early 1970’s three families moved to the lake and attended Camp Chapel Assembly of God. The Tattershall’s, the Schmidt’s, and the Perkin’s. The children of these families formed the first Camp Chapel Youth Group, CA’s (Christ Ambassadors). The group included Steve Mossman, Terri Tattershall, David Perkin, William “Sonny” Tattershall, Don Schmidt Jr., Bill Perkin, Jane Cooper, Julie Perkin. Other families would arrive at the camp in the coming years including the Wilson’s.

Love was in the air during those years, and Lisa Tattershall caught the eye of young Don Jr. At first she played hard to get, but eventually gave in and Don took Lisa to her junior prom. On April 23rd, 1977 Lisa married the love of her life, Donald Schmidt Jr. at Camp Chapel Assembly of God. The Rev. Roger Perkin officiated the ceremony.

Following the marriage, Don and Lisa made their home in a trailer adjacent to Don’s parents’ home on the lake. With the help of Don’s father, they built their first home that became their forever home. In the spring of 1979, they moved into their home just east of the camp at Lakeview Estates. On July 7th, 1981 they welcomed their first daughter, Carrie Elizabeth to the family. Two years and seven months later, on February 28th, 1984, they welcomed the final addition to the family, Kellie Marie.

Lisa was primarily a homemaker raising her children. She loved the lake- diving into the water, boating with Don and water skiing when she was younger. She loved vacationing in Florida and Alabama where she would relax and walk the beaches with Don collecting seashells. She loved anything chocolate, especially hot chocolate cake and Reece's peanut butter cups. Lisa loved doing anything outside, especially having her hands in the dirt gardening. Above all she loved Jesus.

Lisa lead children’s church while she and Don attended Camp Chapel Assembly of God. When they attended New Life Assembly of God, Lisa taught missionettes and youth age Sunday School, helped with the youth group and was on the church worship team.

In recent years she volunteered at the Eldon Thrift Store until her health prevented her from continuing. She loved her family and getting together with them, but she always wanted to be horizontal by 9pm. She especially loved and adored her three grandchildren, Haley Jarrett, Kaity Jarrett, and Zion Sullivan. Lisa wanted her grandchildren at her house every weekend and during the summer as much as possible.

Lisa is survived by her husband, Don Schmidt. Daughter, Carrie Jarrett, and husband, Matt of Henley, Missouri. Daughter, Kellie Sullivan, and husband, Richard of Ashland, Missouri. Three grandchildren, Haley Jarrett, Kaity Jarrett, and Zion Sullivan.
