Gail Dorothy Nelson, age 62 of Watertown, loving daughter of E. John and Ruby (Schuettpelz) Nelson, was called to her eternal home on Monday, January 5, 2015 following a brief illness.

Gail devoted her life to teaching and helping others, and was a special source of support for her parents and brother, Joel. She worked as a Special Education teacher for many years, and most recently served as teacher, secretary and organist at Faith Lutheran Church and School in Watertown.

Gail will be missed by her parents, and her brothers, Jon (Shirley) Nelson of Watertown, Paul (Susie) Nelson of Osseo, David (Nancy) Nelson, Joel Nelson and Tim Nelson all of Watertown, two sisters-in-law, Jan Nelson of Oshkosh and Lisa Nelson of Watertown, eleven nieces and nephews, sixteen great nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.

Gail was preceded in death by two brothers, Mark and Steven and an infant sister, Beth.

Gail will be greatly missed by her family, friends and colleagues.

Funeral services will be held on Friday January 9, 2015 at 4 p.m. at Faith Lutheran Church in Watertown with Pastoral Deacon Seth Hoeppner officiating. Relatives and friends may call at the church on Friday from 1 p.m. until the time of the service.
Services will also be held on Saturday January 10, 2015 at 1 p.m. at the Gruetzmacher Funeral Home in Suring with Rev. Michael Paholke officiating. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday from 11 a.m. until the time of service. Burial will be at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Suring. The Hafemeister Funeral Home and Cremation Service of Watertown is serving the family.
