Roy Robert Jenkins, longtime resident of Tulsa, passed from this life on Sunday, December 24, 2017 at the age of 84. Roy was born May 30, 1933 in Tulsa to Kirby J. and Ruth (Williams) Jenkins. He was raised and received his education in Tulsa, graduating high school from Rogers HS. Following graduation, Roy first attended Okmulgee Tech and later transferred to Oklahoma State University where he received his bachelor’s degree. Roy worked as an electronics technician for the Federal Aviation Authority, from which he retired from. He was also a veteran of the United States Navy. In retirement, Roy continued to tinker with and fix electronics for friends and family. He was happiest when just tinkering with anything. His favorite song was Frank Sinatra’s – My Way, from which he lived his life. Roy was preceded in death by his parents and three wives. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Thursday in the funeral home chapel with Jerry Kubalek officiating. Burial will be Jan. 8, 2018.
