Today we say goodbye to a man who loved life; who truly loved his neighbors and brothers. Tim gave selflessly his sweat and often tears ensuring his community was safe. Today he left his armor at Station 3 to put on the armor of God.

Timothy Gale Blake, 48, of Calvin, WV, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, December 27, 2017, after heart attack.

Tim was born on August 08, 1969, in Richwood, WV, to Brooks David Blake and the
late Betty Ann Silman Blake. Tim and Patti have been together for 32 years and were high school sweethearts. He was a proud member of Craigsville Beaver Cottle Volunteer Fire Department since 1987; serving 32 years; he held the position of chief for 23 years. He was president of the Nicholas County Fireman's Association. He and his wife, Patti operated Mountain State Towing Services. He was employed by the West Virginia Forestry Division for fire prevention. He loved his dogs Pager, Bunker and Makita. He attended Powell Mountain Baptist Church. In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Gayle and Dolly Blake; maternal grandparents, Burt and Frenchie Silman; and aunt and uncle, Sonya and husband, Raymond Chapman.

He is survived by his wife of 24 years, Patti Blake, of Calvin, WV; daughter, Tasheena Renee Brown, Calvin, WV; father, David Blake, Craigsville, WV; brother, Paul David Blake and wife, April, Craigsville, WV, 3 aunts, Nancy Mullins, Mesa, AZ, Judy and husband, John Greer, Richwood, WV, and Tammy and husband, Charles Young, Craigsville, WV; special friend, Della Prater; several nieces and nephews; several great nieces and great nephews.
