Obituary
Darrell D. Farmer, age 85 of Albion passed away peacefully with his family by his side on
December 27, 2017: at Henry Ford Allegiance Hospice Home in Jackson, Michigan. He was
born August 17, 1932 to Merle and Julia (Reese) Farmer in Eckford, Michigan. He married Lois Mae Miller on April 19, 1952 and she preceded him in death March 27, 2012.
Darrell lived most of his life in Albion. He was always a hardworking man who enjoyed being helpful. He liked to improve, maintain and fix things; as his "work" was also his "play". For many years, he enjoyed camping with friends and family at Prairie Lake Campground. Dad's wishes were to someday be in peace and at rest with his bride of 60 years - Lois. She was the light of his life, his "Lotus Blossom".
Darrell is survived by sons, Chris, Kent and Scott (Denise) Farmer; 10 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; sister, Marie (Richard) Butler; brother, Robert Farmer; numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, and eight brothers and sisters.
According to his wishes, Cremation has taken place and a Memorial Service will be
Friday January 12, 2018 at 12:00PM at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 100 Luther Boulevard, Albion, Michigan 49224 with Pastor John Cantele officiating. Interment will be prior to the Memorial at 11:00AM at Riverside Cemetery, Albion.
Memorial contributions maybe directed to the Allegiance Hospice of Jackson or St. Paul Lutheran Church of Albion.
