Mr. Jacobs was born June 10, 1935 in Columbia, SC, the son of the late Calvin and the late Stella (Jacobs) Jacobs, Sr.
Mr. Jacobs served honorably in the US Navy before his retirement. In his spare time he was an avid fisherman and golfer, and a loyal fan of the Red Sox and Patriots. Everyone he met he left with a smile.
He is survived by two daughters, Kristina Seymour of Newport and Gail Elena Bolden of Warwick, RI, three sisters, Rebbie Hutchins, Ann Quarles and Joannell Jacobs of VA and two brothers, Larry T. Jacobs of HI and Matthew J. Jacobs of VA and the late Robert Jacobs, his grandchildren, Robert Z. Seymour, Olivia S. Seymour, Brandon G. Bolden, and Darryn R-J. Bolden, his great granddaughter, Maliyah Bolden, and his former spouse, Ophelia Jacobs.
A memorial service in his memory will be announced at a later date.
