Mrs. Jane Goldsmith Hawkins, 76, of Liberty Circle, Hartwell, passed away Thursday, December 28, 2017 at Hartwell Health & Rehab.
Born on December 29, 1940 in Hartwell GA, she was the daughter of the William Jacob Goldsmith and Estell Bryson Goldsmith. She was retired from Hartwell Mills and attended the Mt. Olivet Church of God.
Survivors include her son: Billy Hawkins Jr and her daughter Melinda Haworth and her husband Richard all of Hartwell; two sisters: Charlotte Corn and Sara “Sakie” Hyde both of Hartwell; five grandchildren: Brittany Hobbs, Brandon Hill, Kayla Fain, Nicole Robinson and Adam Haworth and eight great-grandchildren also survive.
Mrs. Hawkins was preceded in death by her parents; three sisters: Delree Goldsmith, Eva Stovall and Gladys Loftis and three brothers: Joe Goldsmith, Quoty Goldsmith and Barron Goldsmith.
Funeral services will be Saturday, December 30, 2017 at 4:00 p.m. in the Chapel of the Strickland Funeral Home with Rev. Ken Buffington officiating. Burial will be in the Mt. Olivet Church of God Cemetery. The body is at the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell, where the family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday evening. The family is at the home of Melinda & Richard Haworth, 78 Liberty Circle, Hartwell.
