Mrs. Kim Matthews, 48, of Huntersville passed away Friday, December 8th, 2017.

Kim was born in Erie, Pennsylvania and spent most of her childhood in Lake Zurich, IL. She met her husband on Christmas Eve traveling back to her grandmother’s house in Erie, PA. After their wedding, they moved to Huntersville, NC. She was a loving mother who always put others before herself. Kim devoted much her time to helping others. She was very passionate about Operation Christmas Child, Room at the Inn, Rise Against Hunger, Angel tree, Operation Sandwich and many charitable organizations. She was proceeded in death by her father Richard Froelke.

Kim is survived by her husband of 17 years, Roy, their children; Grace and Hope; her Mother Eileen; her Aunts Janet, Carol, Mary and many loving cousins and friends.

Visitation will be held at James Funeral Home of Huntersville, Wednesday, December 13th from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM with a Prayer Service starting at 6:00 PM.

Funeral Mass for Kim will be held at St. Mark Catholic Church of Huntersville on Thursday, December 14th, at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow at Northlake Memorial Gardens.
