Lena Gaynelle (Fry) Ross, 84, of Wayne, WV passed away Wednesday, December 27, 2017, at St. Marys Medical Center, Huntington, WV. Funeral Services will be conducted 2:30 p.m. Sunday, December 31, 2017 at Morris Funeral Home Chapel, Wayne by Pastor Fred Ferguson. Burial will follow at Community Memorial Gardens, Wayne. She was born April 22, 1933 at Wayne, WV, the daughter of Forster B. Bub and Bessie (Adkins) Fry. Gaynelle was more than a homemaker, she was an especially talented carpenter and seamstress and had a knack for perfection. She cherished the memories and friendships from days past and was like a mother to many. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Forster B. Fry, II; and one sister, Sara Elizabeth Wright. She is survived by her loving husband, Jackie Ross; one daughter, Teresa L. Baker (Jackie) of Lavalette, WV; three sons, Lawrence Joseph Simpkins (Diane) of Phoenix, AZ, Daniel Rodney Simpkins of Wayne, WV and Mark Jamison Ross (Lisa) of Wayne; six grandchildren, Erica Wellman (Wade), Allison Perdue (Brandon), Christy Russell (Billy), Ashley Ross, Tyler and Forster Simpkins; and a host of great-grandchildren. Visitation will be 12:30 until service time, Sunday, December 31, 2017 at Morris Funeral Home, Wayne.
