Edith “Tab” Cummings Evans, age 89, passed away Wednesday, December 27, 2017, at Parkwest Medical Center surrounded by her family.
She was a loyal member of Edgemont Church of God.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Swann Burnett Cummings Sr., and Channie Whitson Cummings; former husband Bruce Evans; four sisters and one brother.
She is survived by her children, Brenda (Bill) McMillan, Shirley (and the late Jim) McGill, Don (Gerry) Evans, Joyce Garrett, Patty (Larry) Stephenson; grandchildren, Edie and Billy Hudson, Glen David Ivy, Nicole Lifford, Christina Bacon, Tabitha Norton, and Cortnee Ballard; sixteen great-grandchildren; two sisters, Juanita Pack and Grace Clark; also several nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm Saturday, December 30, 2017 with funeral services following at 7:00 pm in Manes Funeral Home Chapel, with Pastor Mark Hatley officiating. Burial will be held 2:00 pm Sunday, December 31, 2017 in Resthaven Memorial Gardens.
