Mary P. McCollum, 90, of Brethren, Mich., died Tuesday, Dec. 26, 2017, at the Manistee County Medical Care Facility in Manistee.
She was born on Feb. 25, 1927, in Munising, Mich., daughter of the late Stanley and Mary (Janik) Wojtoviets. She married Alward K. McCollum on July 20, 1946. He preceded her in death on April 25, 1999.
Mary worked for the State of Michigan at Howell State Hospital until retiring in 1982. She loved flowers, hummingbirds, butterflies and playing Bingo. She was also very devoted to her Lord and her faith.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Carol McCollum, on Dec. 25, 2016, and her son-in-law, Richard Lawrence, as well as three brothers and one sister.
Visitation will be held and the family will be present at the funeral home to receive friends from 4-6 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 29, 2017, at Herbert Funeral Home in Manistee. Burial will take place in the spring of 2018 at Brethren Cemetery in Brethren, Mich.
