Sarah Bethel Fix was born the daughter of Isaac and Nettie C. Simmer Fix on October 14, 1897, in Warren County, Indiana.

Sarah Bethel Fix and William L. Starr were married on May 6, 1922. They had no children.

OBITUARY: Sarah Starr

Sarah "Betty" Starr, 105, of Elwood, died Tuesday at Community Parkview Care Center.

Born Oct. 14, 1896, in Warren County, she was the daughter of Isaac and Nettie (Simmer) Fix.

She married William Starr. He died in 1961.

She was a member of the Delta Theta Tau Sorority, First United Methodist Church and a charter member of the Lady Elks. She was a former member of the Elwood Country Club.

Survivors include a nephew of Franklin; two great-nephews, one of Kokomo and another of Brownsburg; and a great-niece of Colorado.

Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Dunnichay Funeral Home, with the Rev. Cindy Osgood officiating. Burial will be in Elwood City Cemetery.

Friends may call from 4 to 6 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to the activity fund at Community Parkview Care Center.
