Thomas Hammond, 67, of Henderson, passed away Aug. 12, 2017.
Tom was the son of the late John and Mary Hammond of Detroit.
He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Sylvia; his loving mother-in-law, Viola Tatrow of Tampa, Fla.; children, Matthew (Jennifer) Gauthier of Kingsford, Susan (Dan) Hill of Helena, Mont., and Jami Gauthier of Marshall, Mich.; along with nine grandchildren; sister-in-law, Nancy (Fletcher) Carter; and brother-in-law, Gary (Sandy) Tatrow.
Tom would like to acknowledge good friends Bobby and Debby Rochon of Iron Mountain, Myke and Cheryl Forstrom of Quinnesec, and Mike and Kathy Grammer of Henderson, along with his late father-in-law, Lee Tatrow.
We would like to say a special thank you to Seasons Hospice in Las Vegas, Tom’s doctors, Nyamuswa and Venkat, and his nurses Abby, Radka and Jerry.
Before retirement, Tom loved his job at the Golden Nugget Hotel/Casino in Las Vegas as their head banker and slot floorman.
He enjoyed training acolytes at church, his pets, stamp and coin collecting, gardening, fishing, and we can’t forget his penny Buffalo machines.
