A life cut too short. Austin Blake Stewart, age 20 passed away on Tuesday, December 26 in a tragic auto accident. Born January 31, 1997, 2 1/2 months premature, Austin overcame many obstacles associated with a premature birth. He attended Christ Episcopal and graduated from Garrison High School in 2015. He was a varsity football player and track team member. He loved outdoor activities such as hunting and fishing, but he mostly enjoyed all his many friends. Survivors include: mother, Cassie Stewart Davis and step-father Jason; step-brothers, Edward Davis II and Austin Davis; grandparents, Pat and Randy Stewart; uncle, Brent Stewart and wife Heather; cousins, Avery and Ashton Stewart and numerous other cousins; special friend, Shelby Collins. Services are set for 11:00 AM, Friday, December 29, 2017, at Cason Monk-Metcalf Sunset Chapel with Bill Sherrill officiating. Interment will follow at McKnight Cemetery in Cushing. Arrangements are under the direction of Cason Monk-Metcalf Funeral Directors, located at 5400 North Street in Nacogdoches, Texas.
