Stringer Funeral Home in Kirbyville with burial at Bean Cemetery in Kirbyville. A native of San Augustine County, he had lived most of his life in the Kirbyville area of Newton County and was a retired equipment operator with Newton County Pct. 3. Survivors include his wife, Delores Robbins of Kirbyville; sons, Glen Robbins of Kirbyville, and Michael Robbins of Kirbyville; 4 grandchildren, Mindy Robbins, Christina Robbins, Michael Robbins Jr., and Christopher Robbins; 1 great-grandchild, Abraysha Robbins; and not related by blood, but by love are James and Delina Pickett and children Christa Kay and Kenneth Pickett.
