Shirley E. Jones, 71, of Easton, formerly of West Easton, died Sunday, April 23, 2006 in Easton Hospital. Born: On November 15, 1934 in Bethlehem Township, she was a daughter of the late Ira and Alta Stackhouse Piatt. Personal: She and her husband, William A., were married 41 years last week. Shirley was employed by Victoria Vogue, Bethlehem for many years. Memberships: She was a member of Safety First Fire Co., West Easton, A.A., Avona Fire Co., and the American Legion, Lester W. Pfeffer Post 611.

Survivors: In addition to her husband, William, she is survived by a daughter, Christie Schlough of Palmer Township; five brothers, Ira "Skip" Piatt Jr. of Bethlehem, Arthur Piatt of Bethlehem, Richard Piatt of West Chester, Ronald Piatt of Lake Charles, La, and Robert Piatt of Quakertown; two sisters, Joan Saeger of Gilbert, and May Finken of Palmer Township; and twin grandchildren. A sister, Helen Bond, died earlier.
