Jacksonville, NC -- Christopher Columbus Stevens III, better known as Stevie, was born on January 8, 1953 in Jacksonville, NC. He was a graduate of Jacksonville High School and went on to obtain his Associates degree from Coastal Carolina Community College. He worked for decades in the car business locally.
He passed away peacefully in his home on December 19 with his family by his side.
He is predeceased by his parents, Christopher Stevens Jr. and Mabel Stevens.
He is survived by his loving wife of 36 years, Colleen Allen Stevens and his three children: Christopher Columbus Stevens IV and wife Nicole, Matthew Thomas Stevens, and Allison Leigh Stevens as well as two grandchildren, Olivia Matthews and Clara Stevens.
He is also survived by his siblings: Jimmy Stevens (Jean), Selma Gibson, Mary Spain (Ronald), and Kenneth Stevens (Sharon), as well as several nieces and nephews whom he loved like his own children.
• The visitation will be from 5:00pm until 8:00pm at Jones Funeral Home on Thursday, December 21.
• The Mass of Christian Burial will be at Infant of Prague Catholic Church on December 22 at 11:00am.
• Burial will follow at Onslow Memorial Park in Jacksonville on Richlands Highway.
In lieu of flowers the family asks for donations to be made in his honor to Continuum Home Care and Hospice.
