Mrs. Morris was born on Nov. 11, 1939 in Red River, Louisiana, to James and Irene Stanford. She married Pastor Joseph Morris on April 14, 1961. She assisted in activities of United Pentecostal Church in Eloy for 45 years.
She wrote a letter that she called "Penny Message" after her battle with cancer and handed the handwritten message to everybody she came in contact with.
She is survived by her husband; two sons: Ronnie L. and Bradley T. Morris, of Eloy; and two siblings: Kenneth Stanford, of Marshall, TX, and Barbara Brown, of Shreveport, LA.
Visitation beginning at 10 a.m. on Thursday, Dec. 28, at United Pentecostal Church. Funeral at 11, with Pastor Joseph R. Morris officiating.
