Mr. S.M. Dobbs Is Claimed By Death
Death claimed Mr. S. M. Dobbs of near Monroe Sunday morning at the home of his sister, Mrs. Lucy Durden in Social Circle following an illness of about two weeks when he suffered a stroke.
A native of Morgan county, Mr. Dobbs was the son of the late B.W. Dobbs and Martha Cromer Dobbs and was 65 years old at the time of his death.
Mr. Dobbs was an upright Christian man highly esteemed by a large circle of friends. He lost his wife three years ago.
Funeral services were held from Sewell's church Monday afternoon, Rev. Guy Harbin officiated. Interment was in the Sewell's cemetery, the E. L. Almand Co. in charge.
Surviving Mr. Dobbs are one brother, D. W. Dobbs, of Bishop; four sisters, Mrs. Sallie Pullen, of High Shoals; Mrs Lucy Durden, of Social Circle, Mrs. Levi Crenshaw, of Atlanta, and Mrs. Annie Jones, of Rutledge.
