She is survived by three children: Sally A., wife of Donald Steffy of Ephrata, PA, Peter M. Ross of Ephrata, PA, and Patrick R. Ross, husband of Kristine (Bell) Ross, of Lancaster, PA; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson.
In addition to her husband, Ethel was preceded in death by her parents: Abram and Sadie (Fisher) Kauffman, and her brother, Abram Kauffman.
Ethel was a Registered Nurse and worked as the Head of Pediatric Nurses at the Ephrata Community Hospital and later as a Private Duty Nurse. She was also Payroll Clerk at her husband's accounting business, Robert H. Ross & Co., Inc., as well as being a dedicated homemaker.
Ethel was a member of Faith United Lutheran Church in Denver, PA and loved spending time at the seashore, working on jigsaw puzzles, and playing Bridge. She even taught a Bridge class at Landis Homes so that she would have plenty of card playing partners.
Memorial services will be held at Faith United Lutheran Church, 357 Walnut St., Denver, PA 17517 on Tuesday, January 2, 2018 at 10:30 a.m. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family.
