Rhonda Brown of Amarillo passed away December 24, 2017 at her home.
She was born August 12, 1961 in Fort Worth, Texas to Alfred Brown and Opal Marie (Dennis) Brown. She was a graduate of Borger High School and worked at H&M Pharmacy. She went on to WTSU in Canyon for 4 years and received a degree in Texas History. Rhonda taught for 2 years in the Borger Independent School District. Until her death, she was the Business Analyst for Atmos Energy in Amarillo, Texas.
Rhonda learned to drive in her dad's '52 Bel Air. Sparking an interest in cars, she and her dad were members of the Car Clubs in Borger and Amarillo. Rhonda could Square Dance and Klog,and was a member of a Square Dance Club for many years. She was an avid reader and was starting a book club in Amarillo. A serious lover Bunko, she drove from her home in Dallas just to play with her friends in Amarillo. Rhonda worked continuously on family geneology and went where ever she could just to collect information. She loved Estate sales, antique shopping, and going to the "Affair of the Heart Craft Show".
Rhonda was preceded in death by her mother, Marie Brown who passed in 2005. Her survivors include: her father, Alfred Brown of Amarillo; numerous aunts and uncles; many close friends and of course her precious dogs.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 30, 2017 at 11:00 AM at Trinity Fellowship Church, Amarillo. Burial will follow in Westlawn Cemetery, Borger.
The family will welcome friends Friday, December 29 from 6:00 PM- 8:00 PM at Brown's Chapel of the Fountains, Borger.
Services are entrusted to Brown Funeral Directors, Borger.
