Buddy Brant Bonneau, SC -

Thomas Franklin "Buddy" Brant, Sr., 82, of Bonneau, SC, retired owner and operator of Buddy's Barber Shop, died Tuesday evening at his residence.

His funeral will be 1:00 PM Friday afternoon, December 29, 2017, in the CHAPEL OF DIAL-MURRAY FUNERAL HOME, MONCKS CORNER. Interment will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 until 7:00 PM Thursday.

Mr. Brant was born August 23, 1935, in Ehrhardt, SC, a son of Owen Earl Brant and Virginia Connelly Brant. He was an Army National Guard veteran, and a member of the Berkeley Baptist Church. Mr. Brant was a member of the Washington Lite Infantry, the SC National Guard B Company, and a former member of the SC Barber Board of Examiners. He was also a Shriner and a member of the Pythagorean Lodge #21 AFM.

Surviving are his wife, Delores Jackson Brant; two daughters, Sherry B. Shealy and her husband, Kevin, and Karen B. Ganey and her husband, Dehn, all of Bonneau; a son, Lyn Brant, Jr., of Bonneau; four sisters, Hazel Lee of N. Charleston, Doris Gladden of Moncks Corner, Linda Brant of Hanahan, and Truma Polin of N. Charleston; three brothers, Dilly Brant of N. Charleston, and Lanier Brant and Connelly Brant both of Moncks Corner; four grandchildren, Tad (Kay) Shealy, Kinsey Shealy, Zach Ganey, and Chase Ganey; and a great-grandchild, Luke S. Shealy.
