He was born May 21, 1927 to the late Okey and Martha (Love) Hayes.
Ralph retired after 54 years from Carr Equipment Company as a heavy equipment mechanic. He was a member of Canaan Land Freewill Baptist Church, Hilltop Sportsman Club and his hobbies were woodworking and working on cars.
He was preceded in death by his brother Ray Hayes, brother-in-law Tom Hamby, son-in-law Jack Weiler and daughter-in-law Paulette Hayes.
Survived by his wife Pauline Hayes; children Ralph Edward Hayes, Mike (Diane) Hayes and Karen Weiler; grandchildren Shawn, Sherri, David and Stephanie; 6 great grandchildren and his sister Betty Hamby.
Friends may visit on Thursday from 4-6 PM at THE SPENCE-MILLER FUNERAL HOME 2697 Columbus St. Grove City, where funeral will be held Friday at 2:00 PM. Interment will follow at Concord Cemetery.
