Brenda Amy Franklin, 68, of Guston died December 20, 2017 at her residence.
She was born October 24, 1949 to the late Hubert and Alma Wells Dowell. She was preceded in death her husband, Steven Franklin; a daughter, Tina Troxell; and a grandson, Keith Franklin.
Brenda was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was a caring, loving sister-in-law, aunt, mother-in-law, and friend. She was also a devoted worker at the Kroger in Brandenburg, KY. Brenda was a mother & grandmother to more than just her family. She was very family orientated and enjoyed family dinners, cooking and watching her favorite shows. She was loved by many and will be dearly missed by all.
Brenda is survived by her children: Lisa A. Childress and Mark A. Franklin; 8 grandchildren: Joshua Raley, Sara Franklin, Andrea Childress, Megan Childress, Tiffany Troxell, Steven Franklin, Emily Franklin, and Elizabeth Franklin; 3 great-grandchildren: Ella Weick, Hunter Sweazy, and Isabelle Sweazy, and one great-granddaughter on the way.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, December 27, 2017 at 12:00 PM EST at Alexander Funeral Home in Irvington, KY. Burial will follow in Salem Baptist Church Cemetery.
