Marian Elizabeth Hare, 95, of Jacksonville, Florida, passed away on August 31st, 2017 at Taylor Care Center. Born January 17, 1922, in Pittsburgh, where Marian lived most of her life.

A 1943 graduate of Westinghouse High School, Marian worked for Westinghouse Electric Company for 45 years. She was a member of Lakewood Presbyterian Church, Jacksonville.

She was the devoted and much loved aunt of Claire Fleming King (Lon), Neil D. Fleming (Kim), great-nieces, Kathryne and Virginia Fleming, great-nephew, Andrew King (Lucinda) and great-great nieces, Olivia and Emily King, all of Jacksonville.

Marian was preceded in death by her parents, Izella White and William Hare; and sisters Mary Jane Swaile (Ken) and Dorothy Virginia Fleming (William).

Marian was very proud of her independence and remained so until her late eighties. Her grandfather, William B. White worked beside George Westinghouse at Westinghouse Airbrake. She had many beloved friends who she missed deeply after leaving Pittsburgh upon her retirement. Burial will be at Grandview Cemetery, North Versailles, PA. No services in Pittsburgh are planned.
