Wanda Lee Rankin Henderson, age 84, of Cynthiana, Kentucky, died Friday, December 22, 2017, at Cedar Ridge Health Campus, in Cynthiana. She was born in Harrison County, Kentucky, on August 4, 1933, to the late Grover Herman Rankin and Madeline Jenkins Rankin. She was a member of Unity Christian Church, a member of the Missions Committee, a member of the Ladies Aid, past Sunday school secretary and past church clerk. She loved her church and spending time with her family.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Ernest A. Henderson, Jr. She is survived by: a son, Stephen (Renee) Henderson; two daughters, Donna (Duke) Rorer and Lisa (Barry) Duckworth; a sister, Linda Ricci; a brother, Billy (Becky) Rankin; seven grandchildren, Jennifer (Zakk) Weddle, Scott (Abby) Muntz, Tara (Kris) Caswell, Kacey (Van) Isaac, Kevin Henderson, Jonothon Henderson and Christopher Henderson; seven grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Thursday at Ware Funeral Home by Bro. Bruce Temelton and Bro. Larry Jones. Visitation will be from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. Wednesday. Burial will be in Battle Grove Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to: Unity Christian Church, 5848 Kentucky Highway 36 West, Cynthiana, Kentucky 41031; or Bluegrass Hospice Care, 1317 US Highway 62 East, Cynthiana, Kentucky 41031.
