He was born on April 28, 1935 to Raymond and Veronica Johnson in Alamogordo, NM.
Raymond is preceded in death by his
Mother Veronica, step-father Isabell Valencia, Father Raymond,
Son Tony Johnson,
Brother Lawrence,
Sisters Helen and Carmen, second mom Mama Mariana, grandsons Matthew Chavez and Eddie Altieri, son-in-law Raymond Chavez, and dear friend Adam Lopez.
Raymond proudly served in the United States Army and Marine Corps.
He became passionate about his ministries in Cursillo and to inmates in prison.
Raymond had a big heart and wanted anyone he encountered to know there was happiness beyond the storm that can come into our lives.
Raymond is

Richard Lucero of Santa Fe and
Raymond and Lorraine Johnson of Clovis,
Daughters;
Joan Johnson of Clovis,
Debbie Johnson of Clovis,
Lisa Chavez of Albuquerque, and
Mona Johnson of Albuquerque, and
Brother
Ruben Johnson of Globe, Arizona.
Raymond is also survived by 16 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
Burial will take place at a later date.
Urn bearers will be Raymond Chavez, Ray Johnson, Francisco Montoya, Broc Altieri, Jeremiah Johnson, Tony Johnson, Tony Westley, Jason Johnson and Chase Houston Sr.
Honorary urn bearers will be Raymonds great-children.
