Carolyn Sue Holder Lawson, wife of Larry Lawson, of Mt. Sterling, passed away Friday, December 22, 2017. She was a 66 year old native of Montgomery County, daughter of Alma Cory McGuire and the late Vivian Holder,a former factory worker and member of Spring Street Baptist Church.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by 2 sons, Marvin Leon Strange Jr. and Gregory Allen Strange, 4 grandchildren, Shelby Lynn Guffey, Amanda Strange, Matthew Strange and Landon Strange, 2 great-grandchildren, Amelia and Raegan Guffey, 2 sisters, Loretta Stevenson and Arreeda Creach, and 2 brothers, Jackie Holder and Bill Holder. She was preceded in death by a brother, Vivian Holder Jr.

Her funeral will be 1:00 Wednesday at Spring Street Baptist Church with burial in Machpelah Cemetery. Visitation is 5-8:00 Tuesday at the church. Herald & Stewart Home for Funerals is in charge of arrangements.
