She was a member of Business and Professional Women, the Community Action League of Lewisville, the Dallas Emmaeus Community, the Lewisville Homemakers Club, the Dorcas Circle, the 50+ group of Lewisville FUMC, and the Lewisville Order of Eastern Star Chapter #935. She married her “darlin’”James E. “T” Stockard on April 3, 1965. Martha and "T" enjoyed their 48 years together as members of the First UMC of Lewisville, Highlanders Square Dancers, and Funseekers Club. They enjoyed traveling, camping, their Ruidoso mountain home, their Valley View farm, their family, their friends, their community, and their life together. Martha and "T" were known for their loving hearts and generous spirits. Martha loved nothing more than having her family around her.
She was preceded in death by her husband “T”, her sisters Mary and Yvonne, and her niece Lynn Feaster. She is survived by her nieces Jean Hood, Carol Ware, Karen Boenker, Jane Murphey, nephew David Stockard, and cousin Cheryl Crawford. She will be missed as well by many great-nieces, great-nephews, and devoted cousins. She leaves a legacy of service, kindness, love, selflessness, and faith.
