Daisy LaVerne Anderson, 86, of Gladewater, passed peacefully in her home on December 21, 2017. Burial will be at the Gladewater Memorial Park.
LaVerne was the daughter of the late Mark and Daisy Hanna. She was a graduate of East Texas Baptist University where she received a degree in Education. She was a teacher for many years and loved working with children. She also enjoyed reading, spending time with family and her beloved cat Callie.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Louie Anderson; a sister, Ruth Cass; and a great-grandson, Cameron Reece Barnhill Jr.
Survivors include her sons, Mark and Terry Barnhill Sr.; grandchildren: Mark Barnhill Jr., Jason and Carmen Watkins, and Reece and Claudia Barnhill; great-grandchildren, Samson Black and Walker Barnhill; sister, Doris Whisen; other relatives and many friends. O5
