Robert Lewis Grim Sr., 75, of Belpre, OH, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by his loving family.
Bob was born on September 14, 1942, in Glouster, OH, to the late Elbert Monroe Grim and the late Forrest Rose (Slater) Grim Foreman Guerko. He was raised by his late grandparents, David and Edith Grim. He was also preceded in death by his infant son, James Arthur Grim; grandson, David Robert Britton; granddaughter, Tiffini Nichole Ann Britton; brother, Sam Foreman, and stepmother, Helen Grim.
Bob Dad married and is survived by his loving wife, Judith A. (Biles) Grim, on September 14, 1964, recently celebrating 53 years of marriage. He is also survived by five children: Robert Grim, Jr. (Dea) of Belpre, OH; Larry Grim (Becky) of Belpre, OH; Rebecca Wears (Greg) of Belpre, OH; Laura Maenza (Joseph) of Little Hocking, OH; and Penny Jenkins (Jon) of Vincent, OH; 17 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren and one due in June 2018; three brothers, Danny Grim (Linda) of Nolanville, TX; John Bartlett (Sherry) of Columbus, OH; and Phil Foreman of Athens, OH; two sisters, Brenda Smith (Larry) of New Martinsville, WV; and Patty Smith (Ray) of New Martinsville, WV; and a lifelong best friend, Harold Dooley (Jeanna) of Parkersburg, WV, whom he worked side-by-side with at Charter Cable (formerly Durfees and now Spectrum) for 37 years before retiring in 2004.
Bob served as a volunteer firefighter/EMT for the Belpre Fire Department for four years, and a United States Air Force veteran.
Funeral services will be held 1:00 P.M. Tuesday, December 26th at Leavitt Funeral Home, Belpre, OH, with Pastor Jay Hubbard officiating. Burial will follow at Rockland Cemetery with military honors by American Legion Post 15.
