Cecil D. Hodges was born December 28, 1946 in Tupelo, MS to the union of Willis and Effie Lee Spicer Hodges, Jr. He departed this life Sunday, December 17, 2017 at the North MS Medical Center in Tupelo, MS. He was a member of Chandlers Temple C.M.E. Church. He was united in marriage to the former Mary Ellen (Shayne) Baker of Nettleton, MS.

Services will be Saturday December 23, 2017 at 11:00 A.M. at Chandlers Temple C.M.E. Church with Rev. Kenneth Miller officiating. Viewing will be one hour prior to service. Burial will be in the Verona cemetery. Agnew & Sons Funeral Home of Verona is in charge of the arrangements. He was preceded in death by his parents Willis and Effie Hodges.

Survivors include two sons: Douglas and Dexter Hodges of Nettleton, MS; three grandchildren; two great-grandsons, and one adopted granddaughter; five siblings: Hazel (Jimmie) Washington of New Haven, MI; Johnny Clarin (Debra) Hodges of Pontiac, MI, Rev. Virginia Hodges of Tupelo, MS. Eddie Roy (Lisa) Hodges of Baldwyn, MS and Debra Ann Hodges of Fraser, MI; special nephews, special cousins and other relatives and friends.
