Ralph Walter Sellers – born July 19, 1928; died October 10, 2017 at 89 years old. He was the husband to the late Virginia Janis Sellers (died April 17, 1981) for 29 years.

He is survived by his three girls; June Sellers, Libby Sellers Carrigee (Phil), and Diane Sellers Wyant, son in law, Lee; his seven grandchildren; Megan Carrigee, Drew Carrigee (Megan), Eve Carrigee, Rebecka Menzel Delcastillo (James), Zachary Menzel, Clay Wyant and Abby Wyant, and four great-grandchildren; Jack Carrigee, Lukas Carrigee, Riot Delcastillo, and Ender Delcastillo. He was one of 13 children of the late Andrew Jackson Sellers and the late Josephine Smith Sellers, of Terre Haute, Indiana.

He had fond memories of his childhood and served in the Navy during WWII where he circumnavigated the globe and served on the USS Iowa and the Merrimack. After his years in the Navy, he relocated to Chicago, IL where he met his wife. Together they were transferred to New York, NY, San Francisco, CA, and finally to New Orleans, LA where he lived out his years in the New Orleans area.

He was an active member of the Jaycees in the early years in NOLA. He was a business owner of Delta Reproductions and later Arrow Reproductions; he also enjoyed sailing, whitewater rafting, hiking and the great outdoors and time with family.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Service on Monday, October 16, 2017 at 11:00 am at the Garden of Memories Funeral Home, 4900 Airline Drive, Metairie, LA and the visitation will begin at 10:00 am until service time.
