BOBBY G. DYER
September 4, 1935 ~ December 18, 2017

Funeral services for Bobby G. Dyer will be held Thursday, December 21, 2017 at 10:00 AM at the First Baptist Church in Paden. Interment will follow at the Welty Cemetery.

Bobby G. Dyer was born September 4, 1935 in Micawber, Oklahoma to Charles R. Dyer and Marie Flossie (Wilson) Dyer. He passed away Monday, December 18, 2017 in Tulsa, Oklahoma at the age of 82.

Mr. Dyer was a longtime resident of Okfuskee County. He and Betty Been were married September 7, 1955 in Okemah, Oklahoma. Mr. Dyer was a butcher having been the meat manager at the Tinker Airforce Base Commissary for 37 years and also at Holman’s Grocery in Paden for 16 years.

He enjoyed fishing, farming and was a member of the Paden First Baptist Church. Most of all; he loved his family and especially spending time with his kids, grandkids and his dog Sammie.

He is preceded in by his parents; one brother, Charles R. Dyer, Jr. and one sister, Jean Smith.

Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Betty Dyer of the home; one son, David Dyer of Paden; two daughters, Donna Rogers and husband, Mike of Prague and Kathy Pritchett and husband Preston of Prague; one brother, Jimmy Dyer of Paden, Oklahoma;

four grandchildren, Chris Martin and wife Stephanie of Edmond, Nikki Hendricks and husband Malcolm of Prague, Cortney Powell and husband Eric of Prague and Jennifer Rogers of Prague and four great-grandchildren, Bryar Powell, Genesis Powell, Cole Martin and Cooper Martin.

Serving as active pallbearers will be Roger Dyer, Doug Dyer, Max Henry, Carl Been, Kevin Been, Lonnie Been and Mark Been.

Services will be under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Home, Okemah, Oklahoma and officiated by Rev. Terry Pittman.
