Sara Ann Barnett passed away on Wednesday, December 20, 2017 in Fresno, at the age 76. She was born to William and Ada White on September 25, 1941 in Madera. Throughout her life, Sara lived in numerous states, including Alabama, Texas, and Washington, as she was transferred to different bases during her time of service in the United States Army. Once Sara was honorably discharged from the Army, she returned to school to complete her education. Sara received her degree and worked as a LVN for over 30 years. After retirement, Sara enjoyed spending her time gardening, crafting with her family, and shopping. She also had a love for jewelry, and she would even make her own. Sara loved to pray and would talk about the Lord whenever she had the chance.

Sara was preceded in death by her parents, her brother, Durrel White and her sister, June Shepard.

Sara is survived by her daughter, Vikki Wheeler of Phoenix, AZ, her grand-daughter, Navaeh Williams of Phoenix, AZ, her sister, Nelda Lynn Mewhirter of Fresno, her nephews, Randy and his wife Angie Mewhirter of Fresno, and Eric Mewhirter of Arizona, her niece, Kim Canady of Fresno, as well as numerous great-nieces and great-nephews.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 4, 2018 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Jay Chapel, Madera.

Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, January 4, 2018 at 7:00 PM at Jay Chapel, Madera.

Burial will be held on Friday, January 5, 2018 at 1:00 PM at San Joaquin Valley National Cemetery in Santa Nella, CA
