Daniel Allen Mack

74, of Fort Gratiot died Thursday, June 15, 2017, at the Sanilac County Medical Care Facility.
He was born August 20, 1942, in Detroit the son of the late Walter and Lillian (Witkowski) Mack.
His marriage to Marianne Fowler was December 30, 1994 in a Shelby Twp. chapel and then had a Native American wedding ceremony on August 5, 1995.
Daniel served his country with the United States Army in Vietnam from 1961 to 1964. He was Shelby Twp. Police officer for 24 years until his medical retirement in 1995.
He enjoyed , landscaping, bird watching and making jewelry and loved telling jokes.
Surviving in addition to his wife Marianne of 22 years are three sons, Michael, Kevin and Bradley Mack, stepdaughter, Audra (Joseph) Jancic of Columbus Twp., stepson, Bradford Martin and fiancé Alaina Barry of Colorado and his grandchildren and friends.
Arrangements were by Kaatz Funeral Directors, Richmond.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the V.A. or homeless veterans.
