Kathy L. Payne, 63, of Manassas, VA entered eternal rest on December 6, 2017.
She was born on June 11, 1954 in Queens, New York to the late Vincent and Stella Payne. She attended public schools in Hempstead, N.Y. and graduated from Hempstead High School. Upon graduation, she went on to further her education at Howard University earning a bachelor's degree in Business Administration in 1977.
Prior to retiring, she worked at IBM, Amtrak, Verizon and Frontier. She was a faithful member of First Mount Zion Baptist Church where she was an active participant in various church ministries and was a member of several of the church choirs.
She leaves to cherish her memories, a dear niece, Crystal Sharpe and a host of relatives and close friends. She was predeceased by a sister, Bonnie Payne. Courtesy of Ames Funeral Home.
