Joseph P. Kopfinger, 68, of Tremont, passed away Thursday while in the company of family members at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Cedar Crest, Allentown.

Joe was born in Lavelle, Feb. 12, 1949, a son of the late Rose Sweeney and Fredrick Kopfinger.

He worked in the automotive industry and last worked at AutoZone in Schuylkill Haven.

He was an outdoorsman and enjoyed fishing and hunting. He loved the Patriots, Atlanta Braves and NASCAR. Joe was a big fan of Bob Dylan. He'll be greatly missed by his cat, Raphael.

Joseph graduated from North Schuylkill High School, Class of 1967.

He was husband of the late Linda Perkins Kopfinger, who passed away in 2010.

Joseph was preceded in death by a daughter, Jackie Rhodes, and brothers, Fred, Franklin and John.

Joe is survived by two daughters, Jody, wife of Bruce Rodgers, Lehighton, Mandy, wife of Shawn Flaim, Mahanoy City; a son, J.P. He is also survived by two sisters, Rose Wall, Ohio, and Patricia Beenick, Pine Grove; eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

A religious service will be held at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at Louis D. Truskowsky Funeral Home & Crematory Inc., Mahanoy City, with Deacon Dave Henninger officiating.
