April Leanne Williams

April (Dickerson) Williams, 64, of Weiser, Idaho passed away Tuesday, December 19 in her home with her devoted husband Frankie Williams, all 3 of their children, all of their grandchildren, and her mother by her side.

Lewis and Vivienne Dickerson were blessed with their firstborn, April Leanne, on April 4, 1953 in Weiser, Idaho. April lived in Weiser since the day she was born and graduated from Weiser High School in 1971. She married her sweetheart Frankie Williams the next November and they celebrated their 46th wedding Anniversary this last November. April and Frankie raised 3 children together and were also blessed with 8 grandchildren which were the light of April’s life.

April attended one year of bookkeeping and accounting classes at Treasure Valley Community College to help her manage the books for their business, Frankie Williams Trucking. April was a homemaker and felt so fortunate to never have to work a job, outside of the home.

April enjoyed family gatherings, entertaining, and hosting big dinners for friends and family. April was a lady of many talents. Among them were painting, drawing, carving wood into Santas, snowmen, cowboys, fishermen, etc. She loved to give them to her kids and dear friends. April loved to decorate for the Holidays and give presents to nearly every relative and friend she had. She enjoyed making holiday treats and would take them to her neighbors and businesses around town. In the early 1980’s, Frankie and April purchased vacation property in McCall, and over the years many wonderful memories were made and adventures were had with their children, grandchildren, and friends. As their grandchildren would say, “The happiest place on earth, is McCall!” The past 15 winters, April and Frankie spent their time traveling with friends in Arizona. They made many friends and it was something she looked forward to all year.

Raising children up right was one of April’s best talents! If April’s kids were involved, she was involved! She hosted Halloween parties, Christmas parties, was the classroom Mom, chaperoned for school dances, and did anything and everything she could to support her children. April and her dear friend, Francene Hickey, led a 4-H group called “The Sunshine Stitchers and Stewers.” They taught kids how to cook, sew, do demonstrations, keep record books, hold an office, and run meetings professionally. April was also on the fair board for many years. April had such a wonderful group of friends that she loved so dearly.

April had a heart of gold and the patience of a saint. She made everyone feel important and loved, and will be greatly missed by all.

April is survived by her husband, Frankie Williams, her daughter, Rashelle Boyer and husband, Mike of Fruitland; her daughter, Jennifer Seward and husband Troy of Weiser; her son, Brandon Williams and his wife Andrea of Weiser, and her grandchildren, Bryce and Brooks Boyer; Kenzi, Britynn, and Halle Seward; Brylee, Carter, and Presley Williams; her sister, Spring Keller and her husband, Steve of Toppenish, WA, and her wonderful mother; Vivienne Dickerson.

April is preceded in death by her father, Lewis Dickerson.

The Celebration of Life will be held Wednesday December 27, at 11 am at the Weiser LDS church. Contribution may be made in her name to the Weiser 4-H Program in c/o Michelle Tate.
