JERSEYVILLE — Helen L. Albrecht, 99, died peacefully in her sleep on Saturday morning, July 1, 2017, just one month shy of her 100th birthday.
She was born at home in Fieldon on Aug. 6, 1917, and was the daughter of the late Charles Robert and Christina (Vahle) Green.
She married Robert A. Albrecht on July 12, 1948, in Little Rock, Arkansas, and they shared nearly 57 years of marriage before his passing on May 9, 2005.
Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, Bob and Kathy Albrecht of Jerseyville; a grandson and his wife, Chris and Jen Albrecht of Jerseyville; three great-grandchildren whom Helen thought the world of, Ellie, Hunter and Lucas.
She is also survived by three sisters-in-law, a brother-in-law, and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a brother, Elmer Green; and two sisters, Irene Camp and Florence Zerby.
Visitation will be from 9 until 11 a.m., on Saturday, July 8, 2017 at Crawford Funeral Home in Jerseyville.
Graveside services will be held immediately following at the St. Francis Xavier Catholic Cemetery in Jerseyville, where she will be laid to rest alongside her husband.
