Graveside services for Lester L. Poole, 81, will be conducted 2:00 p.m., Friday at Samaria Baptist Church. The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Thursday at Barr-Price Funeral Home and Crematorium, Historic B-L Chapel. Mr. Poole passed away Sunday, December 17, 2017. Born in Sumter, he was the son of the late Duffie and Emmalee Cotton Poole. Mr. Poole was a member of Samaria Baptist Church, served in the SCANG for over 30 years, and was a retired maintenance technician.
Surviving are his daughters, Juanora P. Biering (David) of Holly Hill; Mary Harris (Russ) of Batesburg; grandchildren, Gene and James Biering, Damon (Tracy), Raven and Myracle Poole, Rachel (Chris) Denny, Arora and Phoenix Harris; 7 great-grandchildren. Mr. Poole was pre-deceased by his wife; Rachel P. Poole, grandsons, Andrew Biering and Nathan Poole.
