He graduated from Windsor High School, Class of 1944, then served in the US Navy duringWWII. Carl had been a Foreman for 29 years, at the former Snap Out Forms in Chardon, before retiring after 15 years as a machinist for Solon MFG in Chardon. He married Alaine Burkhardt Hobson in 1972. He enjoyed the outdoors, hunting and trapping, keeping bees and growing vegetables in his two huge gardens; playing baseball; and volunteering at the Geauga Park District.
Survivors include his wife, Alaine of Chardon; daughters Shirley Johnson of Claridon Twp., and Carleon White ofOrwell, OH; step children, Jane ("Skip") Keller of Tucson, AZ, Ellen (James) Wodiuk of Queen Creek, AZ, and Thomas (Janet) Hobson of Denver, CO; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by daughter, Sharon Chace; siblings, Arlene Bean, Roy, Cecil and Dwayne White.
