Judy A. McCoy, 70, of Sergeant Bluff, IA died Tuesday, December 19, 2017, at her home.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Saturday, December 23, 2017, at Nativity Church (4242 Natalia Way) in Sioux City. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, December 22, 2017 with a Vigil Service at 7 p.m. at Meyer Brothers Morningside Chapel (6200 Morningside Ave.) in Sioux City.

Judith A. “Judy”, daughter of William and Elizabeth (Serck) Heuer, was born November 21, 1947 in Hawarden, IA. Judy was raised on a farm near Hawarden and graduated from West Sioux High School in 1965. Following high school, she attended computer school in Omaha. Judy moved to Sioux City and started working in the office at Wilson Trailer and then went to work at Hines Bookkeeping.

On February 12, 1972, Judy was united in marriage to Raymond M. “Ray” McCoy at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Sioux City. This union was blessed with two children and the family made their home in Sioux City. Judy worked at Terra Chemical and then was an administrative assistant at Tyson Corporate office in Dakota Dunes until retiring on December 31, 2011.

Judy enjoyed cross stitching, reading and traveling. After retiring, Judy and Ray were snowbirds who wintered in Arizona. Judy was a member of Nativity Church.

Judy is survived by her husband, Ray of Sergeant Bluff; daughter, Alicia (David) Claycomb of Colorado Springs, CO; and one sister, Janet Bieser of Lakefield, MN.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one son, Dan McCoy.
